Mr. Somich is an English teacher and adviser of The Paw Print.

Influenced by old-school grammar teachers in his elementary years, Mr. Somich fell in love with journalism in high school when he served on his yearbook staff at Willoughby South. Then at Notre Dame College, Mr. Somich was influenced by the great Dr. Frances Ford Plude, who groomed him to become the chief editor of the college’s student newspaper. Most recently, Mr. Somich has attended journalism workshops at Kent State University, University of Missouri, and West Virginia University.

When he’s not working at Mayfield, Mr. Somich enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife have a daughter and two dogs. He's also a Cleveland sports fanatic and may be seen on a Jumbotron near you!
