Dear Reader,

As the new chief editor, I would like to cordially welcome you to The Paw Print!

My name is Jared Serre. I am entering my junior year at the high school as well as my third year on the staff of The Paw Print.

At this point, you may have noticed something very different from the past two years. Upon becoming chief editor, I decided the renovate the design of the website in order to make it more modern, fresh, and appeal to a wider audience.

The makeover of the site is a tad symbolic in a way. The original site was designed by our first editor, Kate Bakhtiyarova, during the 2014-15 school year. It was that year that I joined this publication as a freshman photographer. Now, I’m running the show.

Due to the effort brought upon by our staff, I feel as if we will meet our duty of providing the Mayfield family with quality news stories time after time. Thanks to the efforts of staff and administration, we will create something to be proud about.

I would like to thank all of our readers for their continued support, as well as their support in the future. We hope that you—as well as new readers—will enjoy the content produced by our staff throughout this school year.

Best,

Jared Serre

Chief Editor, The Paw Print
