Due to the warm temperatures this week and inconsistent air conditioning in classrooms, principal Jeff Legan allowed staff to wear shorts. For the first time in years, juniors were also not invited to the Honors Assembly in the auditorium to avoid overheating that space.

Amrithaa Ashok Kumar is a junior guest writer for The Paw Print.

She did her education in various places in India, Australia, and now the U.S. due to the nature of her parents' professions. This is her first year in news writing. 

She realized her love for writing after taking a cross-curricular course on World History and English last year. She is always intrigued by how words can capture the most beautiful and bizarre splendors of the universe. She goes by the quote, “Nothing in the universe is boring if you tell a good story.” This year, she hopes to bring out the little-known, surreal yet mind-blowing matters around our high school to the mainstream. She is also curious to write about subjects she is passionate about. 

Along with writing, she loves astronomy, global/cultural affairs, traveling and listening to Harry Styles' music.
