Many people know Trevor Cilik, but most don’t know that he’s a huge Star Wars fan.

Senior Trevor Cilik’s love for Star Wars started at the young age of 6. “My mom introduced me to the old Star Wars movies. I watched them all and then moved on to the prequels,” he said.

Cilik’s love grew strong for the series. “I thought they were the best movies I’ve ever seen. They’re filled with everything a great movie should have, like humor, action, and adventure,” he said.

He’s watched the movies multiple times ever since. “They never get old,” he said.

Out of all the movies in the saga, his favorite has to be Episode 3- Revenge of the Sith. “The music that John Williams makes for it was phenomenal and the best fight scenes can be found in this movie. I enjoy watching Episode 3 because of the emotion that comes from the great scenes,” Cilik said.

Cilik, like many other Star Wars fans, was ecstatic when the new movies got released. “Episode 7 was an amazing movie,” he said.

He believes that all the movies are great, but there is something special about the recently released ones—Episode 7 and Rogue One. “Although they are almost similar in every way to the old film, it brings about new characters with new adventures,” he said.

To take his love for Star Wars farther than others, Cilik has even bought replicas of lightsabers from the movies. “They aren’t just toys to me, even though they can be used as such,” he said.

Cilik has three lightsabers total, and is hoping to buy a fourth. The most expensive one was $266. He even bought a broken lightsaber from his friend, and fixed it himself.

Junior Grant Rice was surprised when he first talked to Cilik. “I was taken aback at how much he loved the series. As a Star Wars fan myself, he was the first person I’ve met who truly enjoyed it as much as I do,” he said.

Cilik’s friend, Ken Fleming, has many things to comment on about his love for Star Wars. “He bought himself a Star Wars wallet. He’s such a die-hard fan that he wants prom to be Star Wars themed,” he said.

Cilik’s other Star Wars items include a clone trooper helmet, a Darth Vader helmet, and many more. Fleming said, “He’s so loyal to the Star Wars franchise that he’ll buy any cool memorabilia no matter what the cost is.”
