Karyn Sulzer will do anything to show how much she admires the flappers of the 1920s.

For the movie character themed spirit day, the consumer science teacher didn’t hesitate to go all out in her “flapper girl” costume. Sulzer said, “I feel like in my other life, I was a flapper girl; I like to sing and dance.”

Sulzer said in her Fashion and Accessories class, it was decade day, so this costume also fit that theme. She also believes that it’s important to show school spirit for both teachers and students. She said, “Everyone liked my costume; it is good when teachers dress up [for spirit days] because it encourages the students to also participate.”
