Spirit week to Scott Dlugos can be seen as a religion.

Dlugos has been known throughout his high school career for many things, and spirit week is one of them. According to the senior, this tradition started in eighth grade year during an accessory day.  He said, “I found a costume bin full of accessories to use and went nuts. After going all out that day, and the extremely positive feedback I got, I made it a tradition.”

Dlugos admits he’s motivated by his peers.  “What motivates me is when people come up to me and say, ‘I’m going to out-do you tomorrow’.” This motivation has led to Dlugos dressing up as a Cactus, an old lady, and even Mermaid Man.
