If you’ve been waiting for delicious Italian cuisine that is perfect for a relaxing night out, then you’re in luck. Tasty’s Pizza in Lyndhurst has been serving up flavorful pizza, appetizers and desserts since 1958.

Tasty’s friendly and welcoming environment makes it easy to feel at home while enjoying their divine food. Their walls are cleverly decorated with Cleveland sports memorabilia, giving the restaurant an at-home feel.

It was buzzing with happy customers and the sweet aroma of Italian food hits you as soon as you walk in the door.

The restaurant can hold up to 80 people and is always kept clean and tidy, despite how busy it gets.

Milaney Steigerwald, a sophomore at Mayfield High School and a regular to the restaurant, said, “I love how you can just sit down and feel at home. [It’s] such an amazing place and awesome food!”

There is a wide variety of choices on the menu, showing that the workers are aiming to please all. From pasta to breaded pickles to fish fry, there truly is something for everyone.

Junior Anthony Meola, a busboy at Tasty’s, said, “I love working at Tasty’s. And the food is great so that is a huge plus.

“It is such a good environment, everyone is happy to be working there and we truly care about our customers.”

Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted kindly and told to choose any booth to sit in. Then, my friends and I ordered a large pizza with pineapple and ham along with a small pizza with sausage on top, a hard decision to make with 24 different pizza topping options. The large pizza cost $16.50 for 8 pieces and the small amounted to $8.75 for a four cut.

Although the price was seemingly high, it was well worth it. The pizza pies were delicious with just the right balance of sauce and cheese atop the perfectly cooked dough at just the right temperature and the cost ended up being around $10 per person.

Tasty’s could be compared to LaRich’s in Highland Heights because they have the same pizza style. However, their pizza similarity is the only area they are the same because LaRich’s is an order-to-go place and Tasty’s is a sit down restaurant.

While waiting for our pizzas, we were brought garden salads, each costing $3.50. The salads were made with flavorful black olives, onions, cabbage, mozzarella cheese and banana peppers and came out tasting fresh with a beautiful presentation.

There were many choices for dressing including Homemade Italian, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Poppy Seed, Ranch, Blue Cheese, Honey Mustard and Raspberry Vinaigrette. Proving that once again, there is something for everyone.

After enjoying our salad and pizza we ordered fried dough ($3.95). The dessert was ready in minutes and was mouthwateringly delicious. The dough was fluffy and deliciously coated in sugar, a perfect end to our well-prepared and well-cooked meal.

It was an overall great experience. The workers were so friendly, the food was outstanding and the environment of the restaurant made it nearly impossible to not have a good time.
