Megan McNelly, sophomore at Mayfield, arrived at South Carolina not too long ago. She never would’ve thought that  a single leaf could cause such major damage to her trip.

While McNelly was in South Carolina, she and her family were getting ready for a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant. She and older sister were waiting to leave by the pool when tragedy struck. “In the pool I saw a leaf, so I bent down to try to reach it and get it out, but I fell into the pool in my dress!” said McNelly.

“After I fell into the pool, I started crying because my whole family was laughing at me,” said McNelly. Now, McNelly has learned her lesson. Next time, she’ll be sure to leave the leaves in the pool if she’s not planning on going for a swim.
