Interviews, photographs, and teamwork define Mayfield High School’s exquisite yearbook staff this year. Managed by Mr. John Sullivan and Mr. Corey Hoynacke, the two come together each year to craft the ultimate yearbook force. Hitting the school with a bang, Mayfield’s yearbook never seems to do less than impress.

Each year, the staff must congregate to create the perfect theme, using topics such as video games, red carpets, typography, and numerous other subjects to run throughout the book. Typically, the editors come together to construct the guidelines for the theme and how they will illustrate the theme throughout the book.

However, this year consists of an entirely new staff, completed with fresh ideas and revolunatry design skills. At the end of the semster, several students that shine above all others will be chosen for this noteworthy position.

But what does it take to be an editor? And what does it entail?

Firstly, yearbook editors must be dedicated and must take pride in the yearbook. No, this does not mean writing “yerd” across their forehead, but helping as many staff members as they can and contributing as much as they are available to do so. An editor is a leader, and raises the morale of the staff everyday!

Editors donate their talents to the yearbook in order to produce the best publication for the school, so why don’t students ever hear about them?

Well, these extraordinary editors are modest, and are developing the yearbook, not their reputation. This years upcoming editors are sure to be astonishing, and will make the yearbook of 2015 a distinguished publication.

The editors are the journalists of Mayfield, collecting every great thing about the student body, and putting it on paper. They are the wallflowers of the school, observing all the talents of ther class. They are the spirit of the school, taking the students exuberance and making it last decades. Lastly, they are the weavers of the schools memory, and the upcoming editors definitely will express jolitiy in 2015’s yearbook. Be sure to look out for the new talent racing through the halls!
