Morgan Tropf, Staff Writer

Morgan Tropf is a junior staff member for The Paw Print.

She has attended Mayfield since kindergarten and has always loved writing nonfiction, factual information. Tropf is a member of the varsity cross country and track teams, as well as a member in various clubs including Interact Club, Student Council, Cats Cabinet, Cats SoulCycle, FUSE Club, Environmental Club and the Service Learning Club. Tropf lives an active outdoor lifestyle and completed her first triathlon this year. Tropf loves the support her family provides, especially supporting most of her crazy ideas. She also loves to travel and try new things which provides a lot of new writing topics.

Currently scientists use CRISPR to edit genes at the embryo stage which is when a single egg is fertilized. At this point CRISPR can only provide a limited efficiency but this technology has potential to become widely used in the future.
