Due to the warm temperatures this week and inconsistent air conditioning in classrooms, principal Jeff Legan allowed staff to wear shorts. For the first time in years, juniors were also not invited to the Honors Assembly in the auditorium to avoid overheating that space.

The student walkout occurred at 11:00am on Friday, May 12, which led to students walking from the flag pole to Lander Road. Principal Jeff Legan said, My hope is that our students conduct a peaceful protest in a safe setting.

Morgan Tropf, Staff Writer

Morgan Tropf is a junior staff member for The Paw Print.

She has attended Mayfield since kindergarten and has always loved writing nonfiction, factual information. Tropf is a member of the varsity cross country and track teams, as well as a member in various clubs including Interact Club, Student Council, Cats Cabinet, Cats SoulCycle, FUSE Club, Environmental Club and the Service Learning Club. Tropf lives an active outdoor lifestyle and completed her first triathlon this year. Tropf loves the support her family provides, especially supporting most of her crazy ideas. She also loves to travel and try new things which provides a lot of new writing topics.
